Decree 309 in plain language
How a family receives state-funded rehabilitation, who it is for, and what exactly is covered.
Cabinet Decree 309 of 27 March 2019 is the procedure under which the state pays for the rehabilitation of a child with a registered disability, up to age 18, at a provider on the Ministry of Social Policy list. The yearly limit depends on the registered degree of functional limitation: 16,000 or 25,000 UAH.
We are on that list. The family submits an application and documents to the social protection office at their place of residence: a parent's passport, the child's birth certificate, the individual rehabilitation programme from the medical advisory board, an extract from the medical record and tax numbers. The office then signs an agreement with us, and we agree the start date of the course.
State funds cover physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, speech therapist and educational sessions, psychologist, massage, hydrokinesiotherapy, assistive-device fitting and doctors' consultations. Bobath therapy, sensory integration, hand therapy, Tomatis and accommodation are not covered and can be added at list prices. We draw that line clearly at the first consultation.
